Dr. Chamblin is from the Mobile/Baldwin County area. He was born in Tuscaloosa but moved to Mobile when he was 8 years old. He is a graduate of John Shaw High School and the University of South Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama Dental School in Birmingham. He returned to Mobile following dental school and has been practicing dentistry in Mobile and Spanish Fort since 1984. His first practice was in the Tillman's Corner area. He has been in Spanish Fort since 2001.
He has a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and continues to work toward his masters. He attends very specialized continuing education courses annually.
In his spare time, he enjoys riding his bicycle, running and swimming. He participates in sprint and olympic distance and half Ironman races. He and his wife ride a tandem bicycle and have ridden in many of the United States along with France, Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia Herzegovina, Slovenia, Italy, Turkey and Greece. He loves sailing, fishing, working in his yard, studying the Bible, gardening, and cooking.
He is married to Mary Hopkins Chamblin. They live in Fairhope with "Pedal", the best dog ever, a labradoodle.
